Regular maintenance on all our Plesk hosting servers. The following systems or applications have been updated:

• ClamAV – Updated the anti-virus toolkit to 0.95.2
• MySQL – Updated the database server to 5.0.83
• CubeCart – Updated to 4.3.1
• osTicket – Updated to 1.6.4
• phpWiki – Updated to 1.3.14

More free applications have been added to the repositories:

• Advanced Guestbook 2.4.3 – PHP-based guestbook script
• Classifieds 1.0 – An online classifieds system.
• Links 1.0 – An online link management system.
• net2ftp 0.96 – Web based FTP client
• perlfect search 3.37 – Site indexer and search engine
• phpDocumentor 1.4.1 – JavaDoc-like automatic documentation generator for PHP

These new additions bring the total number of free ‘one-click’ install applications to 95. They are available to all our Web/Combo/Reseller Hosting customers.

Regular maintenance on all our Plesk hosting servers. The following systems or applications have been updated:

• CentOS 5.3 – Operating system update
• MySQL – updated to 5.0.79

• SugarCRM – updated to 5.2.0
• Magento – updated to 1.3.0

• Pinnacle Cart – updated to 3.6.3

1130 – We have been informed of a loss of connectivity in the Kingston BT exchange. Kingston serves as an aggregation point for DSL services in the surrounding areas. Engineers are on their way to site.

1530 – Engineers have established that the fault is due to a broken fibre. The fibre has been replaced with a temporary patch to restore service. We can confirm that all our affected xDSL users have service restored.

1730 – The temporary fibre patch has now been replaced with a permanant fix, all affected services are now operational as normal.

Regular maintenace for our Plesk hosting servers, we have updated the following applications:

• eGroupWare – updated to 1.6 – many bugfixes plus improved calendar and address book facilities
• Mambo – updated to 4.6.5 – maintenance and security release
• phpBB – updated to 3.0.4 – bugfixes and performance increase
• WordPress – updated to 2.7.1 – bugfixes

Another new application added this month:

• Magento (1.2.1) – a feature-rich eCommerce platform that provides online merchants with flexibility and control over the look, content and functionality of their eCommerce store.

All applications within our Web and Reseller hosting services are free to use.

All our Plesk hosting servers have been updated to PHP 5.2.9 which includes a number of security patches and bugfixes.

For our regular maintenance to all our Plesk hosting servers, we have updated the following applications:

• PHP 5.2.8-3 update – fixes a known memory leak in strtotime()
• Drupal updated to 6.9 – maintenance release fixing problems reported using the bug tracking system, as well as critical security vulnerabilities. All clients who use Drupal are recommended to upgrade their sites with this release.
• Joomla – updated to 1.5.9 security release
• CSLH – updated to 2.15
• Moodle – updated to 1.9.3
• osCommerce – updated to 2.2rc2a
• Xoops – updated to 2.3.2b

These are new applications that have been added:

• 4Images – a powerful web-based image gallery management system.

We are palnning some scheduled hardware maintenance. The details of this maintenance are below.

Maintenance Window: Wednesday 4th Feb 0100-0400 (GMT)

Activity: Upgrade of Ethernet switches in our racks to activate new firmware patch.

Customer Impact: Customers should anticipate as much as 15 to 30 minutes of downtime.

Report: All Ethernet switches updraged successfully. Total downtime was only 10 mins.

We have updated our security systems on our Plesk hosting servers to support new feeds from the following:

• Securiteinfo
• MSRBL
• Malware.combr
• SANE
